Student conferences and other presentation opportunities
- The MAA lists various opportunities for students on their student webpage, including the undergraduate student poster session at the annual Joint Mathematics Meetings.

- Pi Mu Epsilon hosts a student conference in conjunction with MAA’s summer MathFest. Funding is available.
- The National Association of Mathematicians (NAM) hosts a student conference.
- Rose-Hulman Undergraduate Mathematics Conference
There may be opportunities at your institution for students to present about math or gain experience teaching math. The math department may hire math tutors, and tutors may be needed by community outreach programs.
Presentation Contests
- The Joint Math Meetings include an undergraduate poster session with judging of the posters.
- Mu Alpha Theta has a video presentation contest for high school students.
- Association for Women in Mathematics has a student essay contest open to high school students and undergraduates.
Ongoing Education / Semester Abroad
- Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education “is a semester-long program in Budapest, Hungary, designed for American and Canadian undergraduates and recent graduates interested in teaching middle school or high school mathematics…In BSME, participants will immerse themselves in mathematical exploration to experience first-hand learning in the Hungarian approach; then they will investigate how to bring this pedagogy into their own future classrooms.”
